How Often Do You Get Post?

Same here. We can go days without letter post.

Royal Mail prioritising parcel post (and not doing a very good job with that either)

For the past 18 months or so we usually get 2 or 3 post days a week. When the same number was recently proposed on the news it made me realise that it's effectively the service I've been getting for a while.

Saturday is normally reliable, but it's not unusual to get a job lot of post on a Thursday.

Post stuff every day , it's part of my job.
In terms of letters though , maybe get something twice a week , postie is in the street every day.

When I first saw the thread title, I thought it was about how often do you post on this site??? Answer - generally when I'm working or at a loss of something else to do.

Actual letters with information I need are rare these days.
However I could tell you the price of a pizza in most shops in Middlesbrough , or supply a charity bag for most charities.

Yep. A few weeks ago I had nothing all
Week then three letters on one day. My mother’s neighbour was told they have started holding mail back.

I post small parcels on a fairly regular basis. Used to use First class sign for. Total waste of money. Second class sign for is just as efficient.

Like most people, we have gone paperless with our bills but we still receive mail at least four times per week. Some of it is junk mail from local takeaways other is flyers from Gardening Direct, Cotton Traders, etc.

We still hold the bank accounts for the two children we fostered and we get a monthly statement for them.

Why would you want to do that? Especially when so many do not have access to email.
Date of letter to delivery is starting to become a joke in my opinion when they could just send me an email, most businesses such as banks etc require an email address and online banking.

I will change my stance to have the option of electronic mail only should be available and it’s greener.

I understand not everybody has access to emails hence my change.

The option to go paperless is already available.

We get post every day during the week in Newton…the dog tells me in no uncertain terms when the postie’s here. No deliveries at a weekend though.

There is always some post too. I can’t remember the last time when there was nothing.

I hadn't thought about it, as we rarely get post. But yep funny how when we do it's 2 or 3 letters. So posties only delivering letters as a job lot

The mother in law used to write to and receive letters from a lady in Scotland called Elizabeth Mail.
