How many posters on here have you met?

I remember going to pick up a painting a lady @ Yarm had done for me (met through the Board). I was sat in her lounge and the door bell went and in popped Rob Nichols - it like a scene from Badiel and Skinner when they used to get famous guests appear in their pretend flat seemingly out of the blue. It was pre season and I said I had good feeling for the season ahead with a chance of promotion. Rob did not seem as confident. We got beat by Norwich in the Play offs that season.

Not sure what that post was i don’t recall it. I do know he was a man of conviction like me though. Whilst i may not always have seen eye to eye, i respected his opinion and thoughts more than most in truth. Even more than hopelesstwats, i mean boro’s 😉

hopesoboro was obviously Neil Bausor. It was plain as day.

So...One of my best mates is a rare poster. I went through Uni with him, and have kept in close touch since. A great lad I went to school with was a prolific poster, but I haven't seen him on here for a while. A NZ poster was a great kid and seems to have turned into a top bloke and is related to me :)

A couple of posters from years back are known to me.

Finally, I had a lot of common friends with Borolad back in the day, and we met through that eons ago....

There are others I am sure I know, but the beauty of this site sometimes is the privacy some posters want.

There are two of my good friends on here though they only post rarely, and likewise posted rarely on the old board too.

In non Covid times we go to a few away games together and one of them I’ve known since University many years ago and meet up regularly away from football for a few beers.

I also briefly met a regular poster at Portsmouth away when Yakubu tortured us, though was a random chat in a pub.
 
Known Rob for years, though don't see him much these days, one very well known poster on here and one who didn't migrate from the old board by the look of it (JLinardi). There may be others.
 
I would say in excess of a dozen. Met a fair few at the charity games. Old mates from the Rock garden ... known for years obvs, tomymcandrewshattrick .... who I used to take with me to games when he was a youngster, Rob and Buddy (admin parties) ... and one or two Halifax/Yorkshire boro fans.
 
In the olden days captain5 would comfortably win this with 50+. Also in the olden days I think a lot more people knew each other in real life as well as on here. Anyway, I'm well into double figures without thinking too hard about it. I don't really know how that has happened because I'm particularly unsociable.

Probably about 8-10 on the old board, but no idea who I know since we moved. Probably met plenty of others at away games without realising it though. People tend to be a bit more chilled and friendly in the real world, me included.

Whatever happened to Captain5 ? Does he still post on here ? Enjoyed a bit of bant's with him...Well I think I enjoyed it more that he did tbf 😆
 
I'm fairly sure I've seen a few I don't know at matches, though I wouldn't count that as I've never spoken to them.
I've definitely seen Rob and Yusuf.

Gladly, the menu is sorted, their will only be 2 meals available too keep cost down.

Meal 1 - Rack of Lamb with oven roasted vegetables and dauphinoise potato
Meal 2 - Hand prepared Pufferfish with grilled death cap mushroom and a pokeweed Jus

There will be more of meal one served up as Pufferfish is quite expensive. All meals will be served randomly, so it’ll be a luck of the draw block21 😉
