I’m not even sure that’s true anymore. Loads of clubs have now been docked points/administrated/liquidated etc. even just since I’ve been watching in the late 80s.Few have stared into the abyss though.

It wasn’t bankruptcy though it was the abyss. People forget how close to oblivion we came.Just quickly looking at the Premier League, Southampton, Leeds, Bournemouth and Wolves have had journeys from bankruptcy to success. I don’t belittle our achievements, but we aren’t unique!
The wider football community would view that as semantics. We aren’t a club (any longer) who are famed for having been in financial trouble once upon a time. We perhaps were for a time in the 90s, but time moves on.It wasn’t bankruptcy though it was the abyss. People forget how close to oblivion we came.
10 minutes from going completely out of business. It wasn’t bankruptcy though it was the abyss. People forget how close to oblivion we came.
