I had a medical "problem" before xmas, so stopped drinking at the beginning of november. I'm someone who's drunk very regularly for 30+ years. Its been an interesting experience. I tried loads of alcy free stuff & not enjoyed it. Instead I've started drinking & enjoying a lot of coffee. Am beginning to realise I don't really miss the trappings of boozing, altho I have no regrets about all the fun its been. also saving shitloads of money, as it was my biggest expense. the biggest problem is how its affected my relationship with footy - pre-match boozing was for me the best thing, really enjoyable & a vital part of the day. without that, its making match days very different. maybe I'll learn to enjoy it as much..... but cant see it
