How good a job is Lee Bowyer doing at Birmingham?

Apparently he criticised the players after we beat them and may be looking at a clear out in The Summer.
Are they clear of the bottom 3 because of him or in spite of him?
The fans protested against the owners.
Just interested after the comments during the highlights on quest if anybody knows - as I don't really follow the goings on at any other clubs?

I don't really know, but when you have multiple managers struggling to pull them from the lower reaches then it does seem there's a bigger issue. He had an impact when he first came in, but the whole place seemed pretty depressing

He's about on par for me. Basket case of a club.

I bet Karanka regrets that job.

He said something like it will take time but sure I read he's been there over 4 years so seems a strange comment to me. That brush with Redknapp a few seasons back pretty much killed the club I believe.

Without the points deductions, they'd be 21st and 4 points above the drop.

Not sure anyone could argue he's doing a great job, but Birmingham are a basket case of a club, they've been in relegation battles for the last 6 seasons.

He only took over in March last season, replacing Karanka.

Thst was the league table when he took over, he arguably saved them from relegation.
They finished in 18th on 52 points, 8 points clear of the drop.

Got some good experienced players too, not sure if they spent that Jude Bellingham money on Friend, Clayton and the like but I thought Bowyer was just starting to get a tune out of em.

Bowyer said: “That hurts me but it’s been like that for the last four years. You are not in a relegation fight for the last four years fighting to the last day unless you have performances likes that. It shocks me because I don’t accept it."

I assumed he meant he had been there that long. Cheers TC (y)

Why is half the ground shut?
It’s has failed a safety inspection and they have no money to carry out the required repairs.

My family are from Birmingham and a number are season ticket holders season. They moaned about needing to be sold to rich investers , Gold and Sullivan sold them off before they bought West Ham and the new owners identity have been moved around secretly.
They have fallen apart over the last 11 years since they won the league cup, they have lurched from one manager spending money on players then getting sacked and the new manager wanting their own players. If ever a club needed a sporting director with a long term plan it it is Brum.
