Robert Smith of The Cure has been inspired by many musicians over the years from David Bowie to Jimi Hendrix. He once revealed one of his favourite intros.
You have to admit that Rachel Goswell was nicer to look at than Mark Gardener though. That's probably why I preferred Slowdive in those days. I really liked The Pale Saints back then too.I probably agree with that. Those were magnificent though.

Thought that they were a bit similar to Ride. A great debut album and then the stuff that followed was OK but nowhere near as good as that first album was.The Comforts of Madness is one of my favourite albums.
I went to college with the drummers brother, so we got to meet them at a gig. Ian Masters was a very bright guy.
