hotel in london

Be VERY careful on that flat. The link provided shows it is new to booking.com and could easily be a scam(seen several where they don't actually exist - it's a common trick to list them just below market value at a non-refundable rate). I do book places like this, but only where they have been reviewed by previous guests.
This is absolutely right. I haven't stayed at that flat, and wouldn't book anywhere without being sure it is legitimate. People are being scammed for holiday lets in London.

It was just intended as an example.

Hugely. Last week I stayed at a cheap but perfectly reasonable hotel in Canary Wharf for £96 on Monday night, booked last minute. The same room was £250 on the Tuesday. Booking in advance usually helps a bit mind.
Hybrid working means Tues-Thurs nights are much more expensive.

Two hotels that I've used in the last couple of years, a little outside the centre, but easy to get in and decent locations, both with parking.

For the weirdest, quirkiest decor, decent sized rooms and fab location by the Thames, Hotel Rafayel.

Marriott Regents Park has nice rooms, decent views if you are lucky. Very helpful staff when I was there. You might be able to save enough money on the rooms to just cab anywhere you want.

£734 for two adults and a 13 year old at Marriots ,Rafayal don't have the occupancy children over 11 seem to be classed as adults?

£447 for two rooms for two night works out at £110 per room per night - thats a bargain for London, I pay similar to that when I stay in Swansea!

I stayed in the Premier Inn next door to Kings Cross on Friday night for the England game. £420 for two rooms for one night (including breakfast - 2 adults and 3 kids). Ridiculously priced but I was at a theatre matinee on the Saturday and needed to dash back, grab the bags, all in time to catch our return train journey; so, location trumped price on this occasion.
