At 9pm a man in our ward is diagnosed with carona. 2.30 am he is eventually taken out. The 5 of us are left here with our room in isolation. And that is all we know. The nurse reckons we wont get a test so anyone in here could still have it. After 60 chemos im classed as very vunerable. Theres talk that one patient left (90 year old with a wife similar age) all seems so lax n no info getting passed to us.

Im laid here now. Its true. Hes up in a covid ward now were stuck in here. I promise that its true. We got updated 5 days isolation from when he was swabbed. Saturday. But we could get sent home before the 5 days. I cant believe it but thats how it is.

My wife was coughing on Friday. Continued to cough during the night. Booked test online at 1.50am Sat morning
She was tested 0.9 miles from home at 10,00 am Sat.
Got a negative result today
Tests are there now. So no reason why you can't have one
Think I'll vote Tory next time:Do_O

Were stuck in hospital and thats what were told. So we cant go anywhere. If thats not a reason i apologise.

I appreciate that Penry . Could you try to be a bit more forceful in your argument?
There is a mental health issue here.

Shambles penry1 I hope all is ok for you and that none of you were infected. Its not just the patients who aren't being tested its staff as well I know three nurses one at Northallerton, the other two at J.C and they have never been tested at all. Hancock comes on the TV saying how they are testing the staff and vulnerable patients and its just a crock of ****. You would have thought one of the first things they would have done was test you given your chemo figures.

Lets hope all is ok with you Penry.take care

All the best penry. Hopefully none of you will get it and you’ll all be fine.

My wife’s uncle, mid 70s, prostate cancer for best part of ten years, underwent some extensive new immunotherapy treatment in Germany (where he lives) more than a year ago. They thought he was a goner.
Long story short, he’s got covid and the only reason he knows was because he got tested in an airport while travelling to France with his wife.
Completely asymptomatic, despite being classed as extremely vulnerable. You may have already had it at some point previously and been completely unaware, you just never know. Keep your spirits up and don’t assume the worst if you get it.
