Hospital beds under the tories

Awful. He's dealing with a constituent, not ranting to his own staff. The attitude to public service staff is appalling too - ie, they are working in the public sector because the private sector won't employ them. As someone who has spent his entire career in the private sector, you don't have to look too far to see the impact of people employed well above their ability, or blagging their way through the work. Just look at the causes of Grenfell to see the private sector in all its glory.

It's the same 'born to rule' attitude Simon Clarke showed last week or so when he claimed he'd be getting a six-figure salary if he left politics. They are scum.

Eh, what’s they health secretary’s job then

It sounds like the MP does not want the NHS to exist - i.e in his world its completely awful, we, the Governement fund it and put up with it, but we are trying to really get rid of it and set up a private system. Like the 1930s in the UK or the USA now. The Conservative Party in the 1940s never wanted the NHS. In the USA it is called a form of communism, because it is free (in general) to users. BTW I do not agree with these attitudes.

There are things that need reform in the NHS and things that could be done better with the same money, but that doesn't mean the NHS is overall poor. Everyone needs to work on this NHS managers, NHS Clinicians, patients etc. Examples I know are poorly negotiated PFIs that are costing a lot now, Spending a lot of money on redundancies when 10% of posts are vacant etc. Some facilities not fully utilised i.e audiology test suites not in full use with patients pointed to private providers e.g. Specsavers in South Tees area. Cuts in the social care sector are impacting on the NHS too, such as social care providers closing down when demand is increasing.

Ref Private versus Public - the Thatcher privatisations and contractijng oiut of public services have had mixed results at best, many have effectively failed for the General Public and taxpayer. The assumption that private ownership is efficient and public ownership inefficent is overall unproven and often untrue.

NHS driven down to failure by scum Tory's and their dumb supporters. Now being propped up by private companies (run by tory mates) whos bosses are raking off billions.

If you voted tory, prepare to reep your just reward, the day you need an ambulance or hospital care. And don't try to tell us that this is not the NHS you voted for. You were warned a plenty.
