Probably because he wasn't in an academy. We signed him from non-league.

Need to be with an English FA affiliated club for 3 years before turning 21. He was 20 when we signed him.

He was asked if one our players could hit a hot streak like chuba and he said yeah but when pressed to pick one he backtracked and said its up to all the players to contribute. Seemed he just didn't want to name a player and put a monkey on their back. Journos just fishing for headlines.

Thought the journalists were rightly asking more challenging questions this time.

Pointless having these press conferences if it's just soft questions about how important the fans are every week and how we can bounce back.

What jumps out to me in our registered squad list is how front loaded we are ! Only 3 of our players O'Brien, Silvera and Smith have surnames starting with a letter in the second half of the alphabet. I'm sure if we had a much more evenly distributed surname statistic we would be quite a few points better off by now, maybe even in the play-offs. This level of detail is lost on some I know. That's why I'm here and available to help ! I shall be pointing this out to the club as soon as possible.

It would be mad not to include him.

I don't believe anyone is foolish enough to have any strong opinions about Hoppe based on his performance for us: who is stupid enough to claim to have a strong opinion based on 68 minutes of football?

Negative opinions are based on his performances elsewhere, and the reluctance to give him a game. that is not at all encouraging.

However, we currently have no fit strikers. Expectations of the team and the season are currently rock bottom. There will never be a better time to give him a few games and see how he does. What is there to lose? I doubt any appearance clauses will kick in after 5 matches.

I don't have much faith in Hoppe, but I'm prepared to give him a little charity.

If so that tells us our 'business' is 100 per cent done until the summer

@newyddion you'll have to wait to give us a list of 300 ex Danish and Latvian 3rd division free agents after May now 😮😉

We loaned Bilongo and Coulson - so there was a chance of some N-Z to replace them - but signed Ayling and Azaz !!

That to me reads like I have to put 25 players down, and there was nobody else. I'm just the coach, and the guys above who deal with tansfers sold Akpom, a 29 goal no 10, and didn't replace Archer, the guy who came in January who scored 11 in 20 and also got 6 assists. Well, they did sort of replace him, but not like for like and that guy is also injured. Then they also took the cash on Rogers and Crooks, which I can understand, but it still doesn't help my squad.

So, on to next year....
