Get well soon to him.
Get well soon to him.
A genuinely decent person who has spent most of his career in this country not being recognised for his outstanding achievements in football and often being derided in the process. Arguably England's most successful homegrown manager overseas.
Palace have looked bereft in recent weeks. Had that been our standard of performance and with a 76 year old manager in charge the majority of us would be screaming for a change. Roy needs to rest and have a nice retirement now and I wish him well.He comes across as a really decent bloke. The sort of guy who you would not mind being parachuted into your club if you got rid of your manager in a relegation fight and wanted someone to cut through the insanity of modern football and go about rescue in a solid way. I know that Palace fans wanted him out but they should be careful what they wish for, with the club currently clear of the relegation zone as it stands, this change (enforced or not) might not end well.
