Hodgson Steps Down at Palace

I saw he's offered to come out of hospital to take charge of their next game till they get another manager in, kind of think health is more important and Palace wouldn't allow him

He comes across as a really decent bloke. The sort of guy who you would not mind being parachuted into your club if you got rid of your manager in a relegation fight and wanted someone to cut through the insanity of modern football and go about rescue in a solid way. I know that Palace fans wanted him out but they should be careful what they wish for, with the club currently clear of the relegation zone as it stands, this change (enforced or not) might not end well.

Palace have looked bereft in recent weeks. Had that been our standard of performance and with a 76 year old manager in charge the majority of us would be screaming for a change. Roy needs to rest and have a nice retirement now and I wish him well.
