Just think, you could have Pink Floyd in your local for less than Pearl Jam for 2 these days - PS I know it is not so simple and BTW I am a HUGE fan of Pearl Jam!

According to the inflation calculator I just used, that £250 is the equivalent of
£4100 today

To hire Pearl Jam for one gig is around £500k

Thats brilliant. Only two months since Brian Jones put an advert in NME that led to Jagger, Stewart and Richards joining him. Before Wyman and Watts. Very interesting artefact.

My mate booked Lindisfarne back in about 71/72 for his Uni at the time. Legendary boozers, he said their drinks bill was about double what their fee was.
