Yes it is unfortunately.
As you may have read, I do a big shop on Friday and use the local co-op for bread, milk and bits during the week. It'll amount to 3 trips maximum per week.
Twice I have been to the local co-op and they've had nobody controlling entry to the store. Being a social distancing Nazi I actually waited when I reached the front of the queue and watched for someone to leave the store before I went in. Fortunately the people behind me realised that they needed to take some responsibility too, unlike those who went in ahead of me.
Then today, Morrison's was an absolute farce with couples, and in one case a family of 3, just wandering around and not respecting any social distancing efforts. I was even behind one couple who were ambling along while the husband who was pushing the trolley was coughing into his hand without a care in the world.
I can safely say that we will have a second wave of this virus because it won't take long for all the good work to be undone as people relax their personal hygiene standards, forget about social distancing and flock to places once they open back up. People are still far too self-involved and ignorant of their surroundings despite the horrendous death tolls we are seeing.
I am sure that this post will elicit accusations of being holier than thou, of having a higher moral compass etc etc, but I will be proven right in the long run and we will see a return to lockdown when the cases and deaths start going back up.
