Help and Advice Needed Please for a Boro Shirt Charity Auction

Nicola Maxwell contacted me last night regarding a signed, framed Boro shirt she has been given to raise funds for a charity she set up in her sons memory after he died from cancer after fighting for over 6years. https://specialnamedfunds.cclg.org.uk/kieran-maxwell-legacy

Nicola says, "Childhood cancer is not rare CRUK say 80% of children survive for 5 years but this includes children who are terminal (like my son was). We are trying to fund kinder but effective treatments. My son should have survived but his cancer just kept coming back and it's for ones like that we are funding research. Every penny we raise goes into research."

She has a signed Andrew Taylor shirt donated by Teeside University full framed but she doesn't know how to get the best price for the charity. Is this something people could advise on. Would people be interested in bidding etc. How should the charity best approach this.
Here is the photo of the framed Andrew Taylor Boro shirt.

It is a special charity for Nicola for the reasons she stated and a really important one that needs awareness and funds. What would be the best way to do this?

Does anyone have any advice - perhaps shirt collectors etc. I could say to Nicola ebay but am not sure if that is actually the best way or whether she needs to time it correctly (whatever that means) - how could she go about raising funds and awareness for what her charity.

Most shirt collectors I know do not collect signed shirts. E Bay will take a good amount of any money that any bids received on it plus fees. They do however allow charity auctions at what percentage I don't know.

Thank you. I don't do much on ebay myself. What would you or anyone advise here to raise a good amount.
Or would it be best to wait. Is it good or bad timing right now.

Disagree with inn off the post, a signed shirt will not put off collectors. In fact the shirt becomes more collectible.
In terms of raising funds, the magic of e bay reaches a global audience. That said, for a charity item, I recommend to maximise sale price, I suggest waiting and auctioning on a fundraising night. The other option Rob would be to auction on FMTTM. Site
Best of look, fantastic charity.
