Really felt for Massimo that day.

Couldn't agree more, I remember seeing Massimo look devastated at the end, then you had Ricketts celebrating around him like he'd won the cup single handedly.

Wolves away FAC QF replay, 10th March 1981

Jim Platt & Davey Hodgson leaving the field after being knocked out 3-1 after extra time

Jim Platt told me Hodgy was in tears in the dressing room after the game, JP said to Hodgy, you've got your full career ahead of you, good days will come
They certainly did at Liverpool

The Juninho one is iconic an you can see the genuine devastation on the little maestros face but the Heskey one really haunts us - think I’ve only seen it once since watching it in real time at Wembley - heartbreaking !

Me too, he flicked his wrists back. That’s why it’s so heartbreaking

Absolutely devastating, we’d hardly settled in our seats and there it was, the fastest FA cup final goal ever, 10 minutes later, Ravanelli limped off, a long journey home, listening to David Mellor on 606 criticising the Boro fans for chanting sieg heil at the FA officials, when we were actually chanting “3 points”.

That three points chant sent chills through me, only good part of that day, i went to zds final the other 3 we lost then missed cardiff if wed won the uefa id have barred myself from all future final lol.
