Does anyone know Chuba's current contract situation?

Year left after this one, hasn't he?

I'm not sure that makes sense - for the club or the player.
If there are potential buyers we then why would Coulson sign for us?
If there are no buyers then for a couple of years we are saddled with a player we don't want.

I think it is a genuine opportunity for him to join our squad.

I think it says a number of things.

Players want to be part of what is going on.

Carrick and the club will give everyone a fair chance if they show willing.

Coulson was written off really quickly. Remember Hackney had a nightmare at Scunthorpe and look at him now.

Players develop at different speeds - see Chuba.

He will be cheap as chips and raring to give it a go.

Shows the faith Carrick has in Woodgate and his opinions on players.

Safety of having a contract with a decent club. Security and a potential pathway to the first team.

Either he's being moved on or he's going to be first choice next season.
I like Bola, so I'd have no problem with him being first choice, even if he doesn't have the same delivery as Giles.

Coulsen had put in some fantastic performances for us, but consistency has always been his problem.

Marc Bola is a much better option from what I’ve seen, but given how this contract extension has come about I wouldn’t like to second guess the clubs motivations behind it.

We'd likely sign a good few new players if we managed to get up.

He got a 6 match ban for spitting someone's face and scunthorpe finished bottom of the league having barely won a game. I am sure people have has better loans but it was obviously character building.

Can't imagine Aberdeen having any money to spend, maybe another club is tracking him. SPL has no money in it at all apart from the old firm. Even the old firm are probably equal to top 8 championship level for spending power.
Riley mgree rejected celtic due to wages is a semi accurate indicator for this.

I completely agree, when they were brought in by Woody, Coulson was the better of the 2.
Tenacious and very quick I've been a supporter of his on this board ever since.

Bloomin' heck, I had the same opinion as @newyddion and @Nobby_Barnes that Coulson looked better than Spence when they first both came through. This is making me question if someone isn't actually injecting me with 10 pints of white lightening whilst I'm asleep.
