Here's an interesting bit of info about the gap between 2nd and 3rd that is foremost in a lot of minds right now. It does disregard games in hand however I hasten to mention.
The gap (whilst still considerable) between us and the Blades in 2nd whilst the biggest single placing gap in the table before last night is now smaller in both points and GD than the gap between them and Burnley (7 points + 9GD v 8 points + 10GD)
It is also more importantly smaller than the gap between us and 7th placed Millwall (coincidentally, -8 points - 10GD)
It's even arguably smaller than the gap between us and Watford in 6th (-7 points - 13 GD)
Which given the fact of how impossible that gap looked to bridge very recently is excellent news.
