Have you ever seen a Geordie win a cup....

I think we should make more of this achievement. Have a trophy virgin anniversary day or duster day for their cabinet.....
 
I remember them winning the Fairs Cup in 1969,although they qualified by finishing about 10th the previous season they did beat some decent teams in doing so and you'd need to go back to 1955 otherwise,

Not a uefa competition though as it was invitational only.

While the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup is recognised as the predecessor to the UEFA Cup, it was not organised by UEFA. Consequently, UEFA does not consider clubs' records in the Fairs Cup to be part of their European record.
 
I'm more generous than most of you as I let them count The Fairs Cup, but only because I was born in 1970 so can still say they have won nowt in my lifetime.

Even as a 9 or 10 year old I used to argue with Geordie uncle that at least we had won the Anglo Scottish Cup since I was born, as he always went on about Upjest Dozsa (or however it is spelt)
