Have we played any friendly’s?

Hi everyone,

been a while since I’ve been on. I hope everyone is as well as can be.
Its nice to have something else to think about and the Boro can provide a distraction. I know other clubs have had practice games against each other. I’m sure we are too but can’t see anything, have we?

Have clubs had friendlies?
 
We haven't yet.
The friendlies are limited to within 90 miles of both clubs, so it's probably only really Newcastle we can play as I'm not sure another Championship team would participate with the season so close to resuming.

Charlton got beaten 6-0 by Arsenal in a friendly yesterday though.
 
We had an in-house game at the riverside yesterday, hopefully we manage to get a friendly in before season start. Newcastle would be the most logical option
 
I think West Ham are playing Palace next week, so may get another Champo club, but the distance thing may be an issue.

teams that have nothing to play for are they really going to be up for these last games?
 
Got a number of choices from the Yorkshire clubs if there are inter-Championship friendlies.

Newcastle have also had in house friendlies. The mags were creaming over Joeliton on twitter the other day because he scored a goal after beating 5 couldn't be bothered defenders.

Well that's good if we've got a bit of match practise going in to these games, I still don't agree with any of them going ahead but that's another issue
 
I think a lot of teams did what we did yesterday. Played a probables v possibles at the home ground. So much to consider for clubs. They will need to practice how to operate a stadium on match day in a socially distanced way. I’m guessing the officials will have to get changed in a different bigger room for one
 
I'm sure Woody will leave no stone unturned in his preparations for the upcoming relegation battle....

Are the first team the ones in the bibs? Dufficult to tell who is who....thought I spied a good finish by Britt in a yellow bib?
 
Couldn’t tell. It was fairly low intensity stuff. Although who was it who flew up the left flank for the break away goal from defending a corner?
