Has anyone ever done a car delivery job?

The type where you deliver cars around the country etc? My mate has literally just started part-time, and is trying to get me to do it too but are they really worth it? He won't give me a straight answer! Looking, one of the biggest companies seems to be Driive Me.

I did look at this a few years ago, but decided against it. If you're prepared to hitch hike and work unsociable hours, then it can pay well. Can't remember the full details, but it seemed to suit someone looking to earn a bit of pin money.

A friend buys & sells used cars and employs, on a casual basis, people to pick up & deliver them. From what he's said about them, I assume the drivers are retired / semi-retired men that want something to do & earn a bit of pocket change.

Yeah, this an old boss of mine did it when he retired for a few years whilst he waited for his state pension to kick in. He enjoyed driving, you get to test drive lots of different cars and if you are prepared to hitch home again you will make a few quid. More of a hobby that pays than a proper job he said.
