Hartlepool Utd up for sale

Is it though ???

Course it is - they had 6,000 there at the weekend.

Regarding the defamation, look at this statement from the Hartlepool Mail -

"Five managers and over 50 players have walked through the doors over the last two seasons with a significant number of staff also coming and going".

Sounds like a real healthy working environment doesn't it.

In that club interview at the 19min mark he is calling fans idiots ... he has to ride above that and not let idiots force him out, Seems to me he wants out as he is not got respect he believes he deserves .. the club is in debt so really cant see sale unless he gets his cash injection back .. Tricky times , need another hollywood star to come in?
Arnie and Stallone needs to get their heads together!

Raj Doing a Chansiri, saying he’s pulling his money out at the end of the season

not sure why he bought the club, was bizarre after what happened at Darlington just a few years before, it was always going to end badly and for me if you put a football club into administration it should stop you being able to buy another.

Surely Jeff Stelling could put a consortium together. He literally knows everyone. Even as a short term thing I bet he could convince some people to trust him to tide things over. Having one of footballs best loved personalities as a fan just give Pools some sort of kudos.

Who owns the ground - the council?

Darlo had to play out of bishop auckland for a few years, Scarborough had to play out of Bridlington when Athletic were born

If they have to start up again will the Vic even be an option?

Yes, the council own it, which is how it should be.

I sat a few seats away from the Chairman and his son in the Hartlepool Executive Box ( Gary Pallister was also there as an aside) at the Crawley game at the end of last season when Hartlepool lost 0 - 2 and sealed their fate. When thousands of people point their finger at you and scream in unison - ‘get out of our fu***** club’ over and over it is a very dark and worrying place for a person to find themselves I thought that day who on earth would be a Chairman in a lower league club? That moment for me was the final straw for the Chairman who was clearly deeply affected by the behaviour of not a small number but a critical mass of fans. He released a statement of his intention to sell pretty quickly after the game. Personally after witnessing the situation he found himself in at close quarters I am amazed he hasn’t just bitten the hand of the first offer to come along rather than worry about the integrity and qualifications of the next owners. Be careful what you wish for.

It certainly looks perilous for Poolies at the minute. I would imagine they are losing money on a monthly basis and this, rather than supporter unrest is the main factor behind Singh wanting to leave. If they were profitable I could not see him selling up. Any potential purchaser would be mad to buy the club until it goes into administration, when a much better deal could be had. That said, did Singh turn down paltry offers for Darlo and let it be liquidated as a consequence. The supporters trust does not seem to have the means nor appetite to take the club on but seem to want to be a part of a future ownership consortium. It will be interesting to see how that ends up.

Also representatives of the guys who bought Wrexham have been clear in the press that they had a list of clubs they were looking at - Hartlepool was on the list but there was never any formal discussion or offer, Wrexham was the only club they actually spoke with and made the offer to. Real shame they didn’t choose Pool but was never a reality.
