Hartlepool gaffa sacked

They’ve been dire the last few games with his signings and listening to the radio tees sport tonight whereby a lot of it was about Hartlepool and their home defeat last night it seems curle hasn’t covered himself in glory….players playing out of position, right back playing left back with an apparent decent left back on the bench…
Curle sounds blinkered and very limited…
I like to see pools do well but worry about who they can attract that’s decent! Come on Raj (!)

As much as I’d love to see him do well, it doesn’t look a great fit for cattermole to go there. Never managed before, never played at that level, odds stacked against him, no opportunity to bring his own players etc…

nailed on Cattermole for this!

I wonder if he'll bring Boyd-Munce with him?

Ste Walker too?

Does seem rather planned out. Cattermole quits, boro say he'll leave at end of month. Curle sacked 5 days before Catts leaves. Very convenient. I agree, great shout about CBM. Would be a quality signing for pool and get him playing games without having to uproot his whole life since it sounds like he's settled in area.

6 Caolan Boyd-Munce
17 Stephen Walker

They've already got a decent striker but the midfield looked poor the other night.

I hear what the OP is saying about players playing out of position but both players (both decent enough too) capable of playing right back (Dodds and Sterry) were unavailable so Ferguson was switched over to the right and didn't do too bad. Pruti who played left back was the best player on the night.

Their recent results haven't been too bad either. 5 points from 5 games, had they managed that all season they'd be a few places further up the table.

munce be a good shout for them if he willing to drop that low, but stephen walker probably not good enough for them, he not shown anything on loan to show he ready for that gritty fight they are in

thing is he probally would have zero other chances at this level who are game to give him a chance, and nothing sure that he has a foot in the door there anyways, people just putting 2 and 2 together, although they have history for these cheaper local options.

it may look like a bad move, but at the same time he would no doubt believe in himself and think where is the chance coming from if he does not take this. they are above the relegation zone even if 4 games ahead of their chasers. but only a win or two in the next handful of games would no doubt make them pull away as the team chasing can barely get a point per game on average. its a very hard league to get relegated from and you can be terrible and a team goes into admin and saves you at that level

but much harder to get promoted into as you have to fight with clubs that don't have budgets with clubs over spending to get into league 2 and stocking up with players while no ffp or spending caps are not in use.

If I was him and the offer come I'd take it, what you gonna do wait till they go down and then take it when the next guy is binned, you might not even get the chance if they take you turning it down personally and who else is giving him that shot on the level pools is? can't see many if any
