Hartlepool ban their local paper

Hartlepool have banned their local paper, the Hartlepool Mail from covering their home games. They have also banned their reporter from buying a ticket and reporting home matches from any seat in the stadium. Raj seems to be a complete narcissist. Not sure why he thought he could be a football club owner.

Just checked for some reason I thought he sold up.
He wants to and maybe he thinks any adverse publicity will in some way affect the sale. Its a shame as with Askey they probably have a decent shot at getting promoted. I thought they looked decent yesterday. At times this season they will have a rocky run, so why give ammunition to disgruntled fans. It will only undermine what the players and coaches are doing on the pitch.

My Pools supporting mate said the paper were pretty fair on the team despite the terrible season they had, but they were often critical of the management of the club so Raj is spitting his dummy out.

Despite them beating us last night I think they're in for another tough few years in the National League.

Think Gibson banned them all. There was a young lad specifically, but I don't really remember anything being printed that was out of order.

Didnt Gibson did the same thing?

He banned two reporters. The others didn't report out of solidarity.
It ended up as a stand off between Gibson and the Gazette editor. Once the editor left the next guy contacted Gibson and everything immediately returned back to normal. That is how I understood it.

Not sure of the ins and outs of it all in its entirety. The gazette was already on a downward trend when they were banned. Then tried to make themselves look important by writing stories about how and why they were banned with little context. Followed by a period of silence on the subject. Then turning into a lick spittle rag with no original content or interviews of their own.

Fairly standard Gibson stuff.

At heart he's a bit of a tart. Anyone who knows anything about the club or Bulkhall will have a hissy fit story.
