I never knew he hadn't packed in already, I rated him until he nearly ran me over when I was on my MTB.

I think there are some rose tinted glasses on here.

Williams was decent enough, for a relatively short period in the grand scheme of things (due to injury of course).

However, as said above, he mostly stood out due to some of the dross in our squad at the time.

Met him a few times and once at a boot camp to get his fitness up for pre season, told us he was unfit, you couldn’t tell after a 40 minute boot camp run about, came across as a genuinely top fella!

Helped him and Poga plant some potatoes about 10/11 yrs ago... That's my claim to fame
Came across as a pleasent lad.

Remember when Williams came back after injury and broke down on the pitch. Terrible moment. Football can be cruel.
