Born his day 1944, one of the best things to happen to our football club, I cant speak to highly of the great man who I have met a good few times, I use to tell the kids growing up stories of big John including, the occassional night time story, my son finally met the Boro legend hed grown up hearing about, at the Riverside when celebrating his 18th at a Boro game in the Legends a few years back & you know what he was so nice to him asking if he played football himself, which he did back then, big John laughed & asked him if he was a dicky dancer :)
