Yep that's it, only about 3 of us, the rest thought he wasn't up to it, same goes for Carrick, I thought Carrick had limitations last season , but you were laughed out of the forum if you mentioned defensive weakness, guess what, I didn't dismiss him just highlighted issues, he will come good as a manager this season again, despite most people on here calling for his head. He is not the Messiah he is a very developing manager.

Coburn was class tonight. Unfortunately Silvera, Jones, Crooks, McGree etc could not give him the ball in the box! Lath has missed chances. Coburn hasn’t. The Teesside Haaland didn’t score. Neither would have Erling Haaland tonight.

He had one half chance last night apart from that did nothing. He is League 1 level at best and if we have to rely on him we are in big trouble. Lathe for all his misses looks a lot better. Maybe try him with Coburn.

Lath playing off Coburn would likely be more effective than having Crooks in there, Crooks is a good player but doesn't really suit the system we play.

We had loads of problems last night. However, Coburn wasn’t one of them.

Looked like one of the few players who gave a toss to be honest.

I did, and I'm glad he did. He did alright in the second half but could do with someone alongside him. He was far too isolated at times. Hopefully he'll get a run of games, but think he'll be back on the bench come Saturday.

That's absolute rubbish. Set up our one good chance in the first half. Lead the line well, linked play well, won the ball back on several occasions.
Lots of issues last night but Coburn was a positive.
