Hamilton takes 10-place grid penalty at Turkish Grand Prix

Dont know why they wouldnt just do the full engine and start at the back, being in that midfield into turn one on that circuit is the worst place to be

It's almost an unknown this years Turkey. Who know what grip there will be? Maybe starting in the midfield and hoping for rain and carnage up front is the plan?

Albon was on the F1 podcast this week and had some interesting insights. He said they couldn't get the SIM to match the track conditions for a long time because it had so little grip in the dry. And in the wet the Kerbs had more grip than the track!

I agree though, you might as well start at the back at Turkey. Merc have reliability issues so not replacing all components here will probably mean another gird penalty somewhere else too

Yeah Hamilton will be happy with 10th overall. I just hope Bottas can be a bit more obstinate with Verstappen this time. Not just let him cruise past
 
Start should be interesting to see if max can get past bottas and how many Lewis can pass at the beginning before the race settles down.

but for me it’s all about Llando I’d love to see him bounce back and get that podium if possible.
