You silly t*t. Or course I don't have "evidence".
That doesn't mean I can't opine that it was still in. I think VAR would give that.

You may not have the best angle but you can make a reasonable assessment in real time by judging the speed of the ball with the timing of the foot making contact with it. A still picture doesn’t help much unless it’s showing the exact moment the ball is furthest forward on impact with the foot. Can't tell from either of those photos. You can't tell from the south stand, you have the wrong angle. The only view to judge would be from the west or east stand in line with the bye line or close to it.

It was on the ground and there was a gap. It was the most out ball that has ever been out - ask anyone in the West stand. I am not going to post more on this thread after this as it is daft now.If the ball isn't on the ground, you can easily see a gap and it still isn't out
I don’t think that does show the ball at its furthest point. The cut back means Crooks’ foot would be further around the back of the ball and there is the depression of the ball as it hits the foot to consider too. That's exactly what that photograph is showing though.
We had the same thing with the World Cup with people adamant that the ball was out even after seeing bird's eye view footage directly above the ball showing that it wasn't.

Which of these looks more out?
We have goal-line technology for the actual goal so why not have the technology for all of the goal and bylines? Seems logical.
Lino wasn't even stood on the goal line so honestly don't see how he could know for sure it was outI was in the direct in line , I did not feel that the whole of the ball of the curvature of the ball was definitely over the whole of the line , but it was so tight , I can understand why the Lino flagged .

Our eyes are notoriously unreliable with detail, subject o our own prejudices, light and weather conditions, visual impairment, and various tricks our eyes and minds play on us in real time and at the micro level needed to correctly call this. You may not have the best angle but you can make a reasonable assessment in real time by judging the speed of the ball with the timing of the foot making contact with it. in the image ion this thread the ball is on the ground and in, now it might have bounced up from and gone out, but I've yet to see any visual evidence of this.It was on the ground and there was a gap. My seat on Saturday was bang in line with the touchline and goal posts in the west lower and i can tell you it was comfortably out.
In real time our eyes deceive us, on replay it’s clearly very tight and inconclusiveIt clearly wasn't "comfortably" out was it? Whether you think the decision was correct or not, the video clearly shows it was very close one way or the other.
He had a better view than you have seen. The crowd behind the line hardly "go up" so I reckon that they could see it was out.It clearly wasn't "comfortably" out was it?

A still is certainly better than our own memory of the event, but multiple stills are required to truly get the correct answer.
