Guess The Sentence

Almost a year ago our house was burgled as we slept upstairs & today the guy who did it is up for sentence having pleaded guilty a couple of months ago.

At the time of the burglary he was out on licence from a two year, five month sentence having been convicted of taking part in the burglary of a pensioners house while she was in hospital following a stroke. It was his 130th conviction.

He has pleaded guilty to seven charges, two relate to the break in and five are to do with fraud when he tried to use some of the cards that he had stolen.

Personally I would like them to throw away the key but realistically I expect him to get between three & four years.

Anyone like to have a guess at the sentence he will get?
 
Judges live in Ivory Towers and do not see the plight of the common man. I think I will go with Bear on this one. The Jails are full and no doubt his wide boy Lawyer will plead the usual shoite about upbringing etc and the Judge will feel pity.

I know that everyone has a right to be defended but some of the statements you read from defence lawyers in the Gazette leave you speechless.
 
3 years... out in 18 months I reckon !

Note to everyone reading - always put your alarm on when going to bed. I know it doesn't help you now Borobosco sorry mate !

In fact it's criminal. If YOUR scrote reoffends then it's up to his Lawyer to be help responsible for his actions.

Nobby we stopped putting the alarm on when we got a dog twenty years ago and never got back in the habit of putting it on when he died three years ago.
 
Sorry to hear that BoroBosco, time to get another dog to cheer yourself up.
Very difficult mentally being burgled, try not to think too much about the scrote.
 
Can we play defence solicitor bingo ....

Suffered childhood trauma
Showed remorse at the earliest opportunity
Recently lost a family member after a long illness
Mixed with the wrong people
Obviously has issues
Responding well in jail
Getting his life back in order

..... etc etc etc

Ah so, there is a defence, shock, horror. Choose from Malaguena's list of possible excuses. Judge should have denied request and slapped the defence Lawyer.
 
He got 3 years & 2 months.

The police told me he was being held in prison due to him breaking his licence but the local rag is reporting he was also convicted of burglary from a local pub last October & theft from Superdrug in January at the same hearing.
 
Time to serve.

He has 130 previous convictions & was out on licence when he did it so they couldn't have suspended it.

What’s his name, sound similar to card fraud we had knicked the car last year in May

Initials were SK for my perpetrator
 
Habitual offenders should get a longer sentence each time they commit another offence.

First offence - 1 year
Second - 2 years
Third - 5 years
Fourth - 8 years

Or something like that.

Sadly it'll never happen.
