Greatest boro goal ever?

Lets be honest, the best goal was probably in the days when matches weren't filmed, I bet some of Cloughie's or Mannion's goals would definitely make the list.

For me and for the theatre of the occasion it has to be Massimo against Steau. Pinpoint cross, bullet header, the stage of the game we were at and the consequences of it going in. Perfect.

Already been mentioned but Viduka vs Birmingham. I don’t really know how he hit an unstoppable shot from there.

Hasselbainks free kick Vs Man City. Unbelievable hit with barely any run up.

The Juno team goal Vs Man U. Brilliant interplay and the coolest of finished.

Quality we will never see play for the club again sadly.

Some great football player that season. That team was capable of really top quality stuff. This one looked below was the best of them in my opinion. Still baffles me how this team got relegated.

That’s the best one for me, in my lifetime. To go to Old Trafford and pass and control like that, with so much pressure on them, was unbelievable. The build up was like watching absolute prime Guardiola’s Man City.

Mark Viduka v Birmingham away 2005/2006 I think.

Unpopular opinion - never impressed with the John Hendrie goal v Millwall. Only goes past one tackle as most of the team run away from him.

And he tries to fall over 3 times aswell

Hey lads there's some good stuff in there but there is but one clue to the real answer.

It has to be Cloughie v Fulham You cannot score from the byline outside the penalty area with your back to the goal .......................... but he did ! - date late 50s ?

I'm also very fond of Emnes against Morecambe in preseason probably 2004. I liked Rochemback's goal v Man City and Maccaronis finish too. Ashley Fletcher's half way goal was also special but none compare with Cloughies finish v Fulham

Maybe not the best, but certainly the funniest. Paul Ince v Leeds at the Riverside, Nigel Martin had marked his penalty area out with divots. Left foot shot from Ince about 25 yards out along the ground, Martyn had it covered but it hit the divot marking the centre of the goal on the six yard line, straight over Martyn’s shoulder into the net 😂 Martyn realised his mistake and kicked out at the divot in anger

Most goals like that have lots of missed tackles or missed opportunities to clear, it's his determination to keep going like the others that sets it up as a special goal,

Recently Fletcher away at WBA. It's a shame as he's cack.

I'd also say Gaston against Bournemouth.

Viduka at brum was one of the best 'technically'
