Great opening lines to songs….

Didn't have the money 'round to buy a Morry Thou
Been around and seen a lot to shake me anyhow
Begged and borrowed sometimes, I admit I even stole
The worse crime that I ever did, was playing rock 'n roll

Well, my daddy left home when I was three
Didn't leave very much to my mom and me
Except this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze
Now I don't blame him 'cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that my daddy ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me Sue

Goin' home late last night
Suddenly, I got a fright
Yeah, I looked through a window and surprised what I saw
Fairy with boots are dancin' with a dwarf, alright, now

He was just a social drinker but social every night
He enjoyed a pint or two or three or four
She was just a silent thinker, silent every night
He'd enjoy the thought of killing her before

I've got to say, it looks like some songs have got very long opening lines.

p.s.
That isn't an opening line from a song by the way, it is a comment on some of the lyrics presented on this thread as opening lines.

p.p.s.
That previous sentence wasn't an opening line either. It was an explanation of the previous sentence. As is this one.

A candy-colored clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
Go to sleep, everything is alright

Rivers and bridges, cliff faces, walking by streams and waterfalls.
Evergreen trees, shadows, a breeze scatters leaves across the lawn.
