Gravel Bikes

Thinking about a new bike. I was going to get another Ribble - The CGR but their waiting list is at least a year so looking at other options.

My budget is 1300-1500.

I'm looking at the Merida Silex 300 or 400, the Boardman CXR cyclo cross or possibly the Planet X Tempest (though this is slightly over budget).

Anybody got any other recommendations??

I like the look of the Kinesis G2...not sure on availability though. Feels like everything is out of stock at the moment.

I don't know anything about gravel bikes but it looks like Bike Scene have them available.

I ride a merida cyclocross, so for me, I'd have another one of them if i were buying now. which i would but i don't have the money. I've got my hands on an old Geneses bike which will be tinkered with for the road and longer rides. YOu could also check out Merlin, I cannot remember what they have in at the moment.

but any of those others listed would also be the ones I would go to, what do Dolan have at the moment, always liked the look of them.

I tend to find the smaller brands have better spec but the carbon or steel may not be as good as those from the main brands.

Road CC have good writes up of bikes or I suppose OffRoad CC for gravel bikes.
