Warnock's style of play doesn't really lend itself to making the most of an extra man.

Common wisdom dictates that when the other side goes down to ten men you then pass it around stretch the play, look for the extra man overload and tire them out. Warnock's style is all about getting the ball forward early and then getting bodies around in support. By hoofing it forwards early we are playing it towards the most densely populated area of their team the back 4 and defensive mids.

Keeping possession is the best way to try to make the most of an extra man, but we're just not a possession based side, not under Warnock.
 
Massive overreaction this thread, Hall has been very good for us since he came back from injury. He did look out of sorts last night but wasn't the only one.

I think Uche, Jones, Crooks and Djiksteel were the only positive last night.

On the subject of Hall, fair play to him for his reaction to Austin headbutting him, i couldn't believe that.

Yeah we were going through the centre way to much you have got to make the most of the width in them situations
 
Always thought he was pretty average and still think the same now. There are more pressing areas to sort out though. Midfield was atrocious again. No wonder the defence is under pressure.
