Grant Hall Press Conference

He seems a very laid back chap but likes the responsibility of being captain. Talks in glowing terms about Neil Warnock and about Boro "big club." And much to say when questioned about his 18 months out from a potentially career ending knee injury. Many of us know all about that type of thing.
Seems a good character, very ambitious and looking forward to the new challenge.

He's delighted to be at such a big club with amazing facilities. He likes the gaffer and now he just can't wait to get going.

Anything else?

He has worked with Warnock at QPR - so that is where the admiration comes in. Can't wait to get going because his season ended in March. I hadn't realised that. So like Dani Ayala it is a different reality to everyone else.

He liked the responsibility of being a captain in the past? Or likes the idea of the responsibility of being our captain?

He talked about his leadership, when asked about what qualities we might expect from him, he said that first. And that the extra responsibility of being captain helped his own game as a player at QPR.

He has a young family - not sure they are moving yet. But being on a 3 year contract and the kids are very young that might make it better for him to decide in time.

Yeah he and his partner have a new born. His partner is a reality tv star or an Instagram influencer or something like that down in London. As long as he gets a pad up here and knuckles down I don't mind if he doesn't move up permanently. There's good modes of transport between the North East and London now.

Ha, these press conferences are a joke. It's the same crap every time:
Big club; great fans; boss is great; blah blah

It would be totally wrong of me to be more specific with answers to questions posed by other media journalists.

Is there not a club 'rule' that you have to live within a certain distance of Rockcliffe?
Its probably quite generous but won't stretch to London!
That was one of the club accusations allegedly levelled at Ayala when he moved south with his wife during lockdown.
I could be wrong?

A lot of the team used to live at Harrogate.
