After Italy refused entry for England fans wanting to attend last 8 game in Rome
Oh and VIP guests can stay forr a week
Unbelievable
 
It is to keep Uefa happy, part of the crossing of palms with brown envelopes to have the event final here. Boris is all about popularity, he will be hoping for a glorious photoshoot opportunity. It was Boris what won it etc etc. I think that is the real reason people are being allowed to holiday abroad without quarantine if i’m honest. ‘Boris saves the summer’ as hospitals get overrun in the autumn.

It is so unreal its untrue. that was a sad read, glad they had the courage to speak out. I feel for all those NHS staff for this winter and anyone awaiting routine or emergency treatment. Those deaths will multiply too sadly.

I am beginning to wonder if Hancock was actually set up under Boris’s sanctioning, to make him have to fall on his sword to get him out so that Boris could put a more bullish and less cautious minister at the Dept. Of Health. I am sure Hancock must have had something significant on Boris. Hancock was terrible in so many ways, but the one thing he was was cautious. Javid is an economy first man, survival of the fittest, possibly happy to go along with ‘let the bodies pile high’ mantra.
 
At this stage, given our numbers of cases I'm not sure why we are bothering with a border policy.

We have given up on controlling infection, its other countries letting people travel here that surprises me.

Yeah. That’s the thing isn’t it: letting in people from countries with lower infection rates (which is to say, most of them) seems pretty minor when you realise how widespread the disease is within the country. It’s the fact that they would want to come and their government would let them is the strange one for me
 
Dammed if you do dammed if you don’t. If we are the most vaccinated why are other countries got lower cases
 
There were plenty of Italian fans at the semi final on Tuesday, they well outnumbered the Spanish without travel restrictions being lifted.

Perhaps the Italians living locally have been priced out of the big one?
