Good players poor team

As i have said before we don't have poor players it's getting them to gel, that is the hard part ,with Woodgate it wasn't happening with Warnock it is.
Saville was getting slagged off on here as was Mcnair,Fletcher,Friend,Tav etc.

The players have been so inconsistent in the season, was it to do with the messages they were getting from the coaching staff, where they were being asked to play, the service they were getting. losing players and injuries? I tend to think it must be. Since the re-start, Mr Warnock has got them believing and playing where they should be. We will know more when we get a settled side how good they really are.
I thought G.F was finished last season. but what a performance tonight, the best I've seen him play.

still not sure about Warnock tbh seems a bit hit and miss decent one game terrible the next

Mate he has been here 6 games and won 3 and 99 percent likely kept us up. What more could he of done with this set of players who were down and out under Woodgate? He’s done an incredible job with a bunch of players he didn’t sign. Christ. What do some people expect.

lol just an opinion don't take it too heart, great that we won and all but not sure if he really is the future for us bit like Pulis was not, but hopefully we should stay up now

Not taking it to heart but would just like to know the logic behind your opinion. He was brought in to keep us up and if he did he was always gonna be touted for staying on, now looks like he has done the first part with a 50 percent win percentage so far which is great, and surely deserves a crack of the whip next year?

certainly domnt know from game to game which Boro will show up at the moment, but I dont blame Warnock for that, he has done a great job and looks like he has kept us up so I would probably givehim a knighthhood now

It would take more than Warnock to make Saville into a good player...although he did give it 110% tonight at Reading 👍🏻
Yeah credit to Saville. I have slagged him recently for his 'nothing' performances.
He showed some passion and got his foot in, let's hope it continues (y)

Players need to be professional enough to apply themselves, managers mould them into a better team.
Sorry to say it, but a lot of our players don't have it within themselves to put that application in and it shows itself in the up and down performances.

I guess that's why they play in the Championship, can't do it consistently. A good manager certainly helps...

I'm just happy we have a few more points on the board...they worked for it this evening and that is fine, but overall I think most of themhave coasted for far too long and appear to have no grit when faced with a fight. We really do need to strip this back to the bones (and with recent fallout and departures that won't be hard) and rebuild AGAIN!

Will Warnock want to take that on?

Exactly?!! Flabbergasted when I read Foggon's post there.

I'd give NW an A+ if we do stay up given the state we were in, the contract issues caused by the season being delayed and the fact he's come in cold without any time to work with the players in a pre-season.
I'm sure his reputation has helped him establish his role as the gaffer pretty quickly.

We have some good players but as Warnock himself has said since pretty much day 1, it's quite an unbalanced squad which is lacking in leaders.

Warnock has got the best out of a unbalanced team. When you consider Warnock’s win ratio if applied to a full season would have us in the play off places, that just goes to show the difference he has made since coming in.

We have lots of individual strengths we just need to build a team around a game plan. Looking forward to what happens if Warnock does decide to stay on - I think he will have a blue print that we need right now. It might not be the exciting formula that some fans will want but it will make us competitive in this league and I know where I would rather be.

He knows he will be restructuring while getting rid of the bigger earners. The Monk years will have taken years to recover from. We were warned by Pulis that the club was in a bad place. For the first time since Pulis I think that we will finally address this and avoid dropping a division doing it. Amazing job Colin.
