Good old Neil W got it right about the MU game

Although to be fair, if they'd taken their chances they should have won 6-0! LOL... They didn't though. Get in.

Thats terribly kind of Mr Warnock:

“They’ve got my old team Middlesbrough in the next round of the FA Cup and I wouldn’t swap any of their defenders for the back three at Middlesbrough – Dael Fry, Anfernee Dijksteele and Paddy McNair.

“I think they’re better than Man United‘s defence.”

I agree Dijksteel started poorly, but finished well. Fry and McNair matched the MU defenders all game.

How much did we pay for Dijksteel - £1m?

How much was Maguire £80m?

I would imagine the cost of our starting 11 is a fraction of theirs and not to mention the difference in wages.
I think our starting line up cost less than £10m with only Payero on the bench having a transfer fee. Remarkable really.

The big difference is the manager and his attitude and approach. Under TP and NW half team wouldn't have been playing as they never took the cups seriously and disappointing some fans went along with it.

CW wants to win everything, his attitude and approach is clearly rubbing off on the players, and building confidence and momentum we go from the start, to finish and give it everything no matter who and where we are playing.

Full credit to CW for doing it his way and picking a team others would not.

The League Cup win at OT was big in 2015, but it was a weakened MU side who were only half interested in that Trophy - Last night it was different they put out possibly their strongest side available.

Maybe last night was like winning at Citeh in 2015. AK put out a strong team that day.

It was also a weakened Boro side. We rested quite a few and De Pena even started.

Neil W stuck his neck out on National Radio and said he fancied us to go through at OT - No neutrals give us any chance.

He also said he thought McNair, Fry and Dyksteel would stand out and everyone thought he was off his head.
Because hes a good bloke is NW who knows a thing about football

Thought Dijksteel and McNair struggled a fair bit but Fry showed he is a premier league player no doubt. Just hope we can keep him a long time
