It's just frustrating to watch....but yes, I understand that we need to be patient.
The biggest news of the week for me was Bulkhaul making record profits of nearly £45m - not the 6 points dropped.
Company financials are always published historically.
We now know Gibson will have gone into negotiations for Wilder's signature confident he provide him with what he wanted.
No doubt Chris Wilder knows exactly what is required to get a team promoted.
Pretty sure the strategy will have been aimed towards a promotion charge next season.
But we have a Manager who is also a fan so he's happy to throw a few 'gifts' into the mix to make us competitive this year.
This has borne fruit but we really still have a wafer-thin squad following a couple of years of cutbacks.
Looking forward to some positive player changes this summer after a few years of running the squad down to the bone.
Would just be great to have the goalkeeper position sorted.
We have had years of chop/change since Shwarzer really.
Yes Dimi was pretty stable but he was a 'wildcard' in terms of him overperforming given his age/cost.
Since then we've had Mejias (3 times), Stoikavich, Valdes, Given, Guzan, Steele, Turnbull, Pears junior......
This isn't a complete list just top of my head but lots of 'short-term' fixes.
Yes, I appreciate you get what you pay for.
Not sure this worked out when we paid out big fees for strikers recently.
Just annoying to reflect on the Randolph situation.
Football is rotten when a player that could have been a regular here for the last 5 years or whatever is kicking his heels in the PL.
We had the same situation with Given - couldn't afford his wages.
Just sad that there must be 20 or so great reserve keepers sitting on benches throughout the PL.
If the salary differentials weren't so massive perhaps a few would rather be geeing regular action in the Championship?
