Giving Blood for the CV

I was thinking about this yesterday as donated blood saved my life a few years ago due to cancer, I can't give blood anymore due to having the blood cancer. Norfolk I can commend you on giving blood regularly and thinking of others at this time and urge any other person to do this. There will be Blood cancer sufferers now depending on it. Please everyone give blood if you can, I can assure you it will save someone's life

I used to go to the Newcastle centre every month to donate platelets but this gradually became difficult,so now just give whole blood every 12 weeks.
I'm also a few weeks away and intend to keep my appointment as made. I don't know official advice but they've always had dips in supply around traditional holiday period etc but also don't need an upward spike in donations.
They'll need to know they can depend on a regular continuous supply, so if a regular donor keep your appointment as made.

If you haven't been for a while or want to start, plenty of info on here. As they state the demand for blood never stops.

I’d love to give blood but due to a medical issue I can’t. Much respect to anyone who gives their time in carrying out this selfless act.
