It would be the sensible choice (if no other prem side is interested) at this stage of his career, in my opinion. But I’ll wait and see.

There has been nothing of late to remotely suggest he is coming to Boro. There would have been something from some source surely and everything of late indicates Luton. Not getting my hopes up again. In fact, I’m fed up of the whole situation. If he’d wanted to come to Boro he’d be here and the Luton stories would not have been as strong as they were at the weekend. I’m virtually at the situation where I’m feeling ‘meh’ toward him now.

I remember when we signed Clayton and it was exactly like this. All of a sudden, it was announced.

Definitely, we need a left back before the season starts, if it’s not going to be Giles then we need to focus on an alternative and get them over the line sharpish. Whoever we sign has already missed a huge chunk of our preseason.

Agree, but hopefully whoever comes in will have had preseason somewhere and be relatively fit. It seems a close knit welcoming group, the younger lads appear to have settled in well enough, so fingers crossed our new player is in the squad for say Saturday.
