Getting rid of Wilder appointing Carrick best decisions Gibbo has made in years

I think people do need to calm down abit we did just beat Blackpool the Norwich game at the weekend is the acid test for me if we put in a similar performance and get a win. Expectations will go through the roof
I disagree, every game in this division is difficult and you earn the right to win, either way saturdays result does not define the season but what it will do is lift the confidence of the squad if we can go and get a result at Norwich, leaving us after a very disjointed last few months right amongst the pack with what can only be describe a mini pre season before the real season starts.

It will also give Carrick and his team time to work on the training field.

Could well be. Not getting carried away at all, but the difference is notable already. I thought it was nigh on impossible to re-ignite the fire in the belly of the likes of Jones and others, but their confidence seems to be coming back since MC has arrived. It could well be the best choice Sir Steve has made in a long time.

Chuba has blown me away, last night he looked absolute class at times, and his goals/games ratio in the league is one of the best right now, and joint 2nd top scorer too, I think. If we have a good weekend we could go into the WC break with Akpom on double figures if he gets two more, who would have thought that before the season started??

Forss really impressed me too, last night. And he is one I have been doubtful of and had little confidence he would work out ... though I am starting to see a real player in there and I am quite happy for the lad to make me look like an idiot :ROFLMAO:

}Happy Michael Carrick is here, and hope it works out in the long run. The lad is calm, smart, and had world-class coaching experience, I am sure all the lads in the team look up to him. Far better than the miserable chunt that was Chris 'you don't need to ask me that' Wilder. Ha ha

Carrick looks like he is going to be very good at man management, something that Wilder seemed to be lacking in. The players are clearly responding to Carricks style from the off. It’s early days of course but he’s got off to a good start and the positivity is starting to flow again, both with the players and fans alike
