Getting a refund on a season ticket before the season.

Tickets were digital at Chesterfield (Real Betis) and Bradford and it was so easy, absolutely nothing to worry about. My parking ticket for the cup game at Huddersfield is also digital and is already sitting in my Apple wallet waiting to be used. As already mentioned, the booking fees are a right old rip off, but using digital tickets is a doddle.
The system MFC are using is completely different to the one Bradford use.

Bit syrprised by this to be honest. I could understand it when we were watching pulisball or Woodgates team that didnt have a plan how to play but really not excited by Carricks team so far. Best footy we have played for years with this fella

Did anyone give up going when we changed from paper books to the plastic card I wonder ???

At least if you get proper narked with the footy you can throw your phone at the manager, bit difficult to hoy a plaggy card effectively

Why not write these points down with a quill pen onto a piece of parchment and strap it to a carrier pigeon and send it to the club and you may get a reply.
Only joking😀

Has anyone managed to get a refund on a season ticket before the season has kicked off?

Most Boro games are on tv now.

I hate the experience or the Riverside now and this digital ticketing that is being forced on fans, the paying to print tickets is enough for me and my family.

Going to go and watch either Stockton or Marske and some real football on a weekend.
good luck. I hope you don't miss it too much. It's a big hole to fill

We will not be charged more - in fact we will face less charges.
Season card holders won’t be charged more but anyone who buys on a walk up basis will. It widens the gap even further on a match day ticket and will put casual punters off.

I’ve already stated that I wouldn’t pay the difference between walk up and a season ticket and this stealth charge certainly won’t make me change my mind.

I hope you or someone else address this at the fans forum.

digital ticketing is being forced onto fans.. so you're going to give up going to the football what is in real life.. and watch it on the tele.. a digitised version of the game.

cough, cough.. sounds bonkers.

It's like saying you hate being wet and cold and then striping off and jumping into the north sea!!
Hang on a minute newy, what do you mean digitised footballers on the TV? I thought it was a series of mirrors from the riverside to my home?

I fill up a fish tank with witch tears and incant the spirit of football if I ever want to watch a game that I’m not going to.

Just a word to the OP Redlips. While I agree that what some think simplify the process others think it is an unnecessary step and another way of getting money from people(the ticket printing fiasco). I will just bite the bullet and go with it although when the option comes I will retain my season card as opposed to having it on my phone. You have obviously got your own set of principles which I assume are not just limited to the things you mentioned in the OP. Well done for sticking by what you think is the right thing to do and sorry for all the negative and stupid comments on here. It is yours and nobody else's choice and good luck with getting your refund. Let us know how it goes. (y)

As someone else posted haven’t we had to pay an admin fee for print at home tickets for years, or have I been getting ripped off the past decade?

No don't think this is the case - in fact the reverse because you will not have to pay £1.50 to print at home.
Am hopeful a membership scheme will be rolled out soon and that will allow everyone that joins benefits home and away. It has been a long time coming but when combined with a digital ticket it will lead to ticketing without these add on charges.

A couple of years time you won't have paper tickets for anything. Then people will be on here moaning when the club/business are trying to get you to have a chip implanted to scan and crying for it to still be on their smartphones. 🤣🤣🤣

Will there be a cost to join the membership scheme, and if so, isn’t it another hidden charge on the price of a walk up ticket?

You don’t seem to understand that it isn’t about technology, it is about being charged for using it.

I think you need to go through and read the thread properly.
