Get them signed

I'm not even sure Gayle would 'fit'. He's prolific in the champo but we are crying out for a big lad up top.

What use is Gayle pumping it forward? He's no better in the air than Britt or Akpom. You have to buy players who fit the formation and style.

We are looking very much like a typical Warnock side since Jan. Pacy wingers. We are just missing a target man and it's very much a blue print of his sides (also maybe a goal scoring CB and long throw specialist😂)
 
I think the following will all be in the outgoing column:

Kebano (too good)
Bolasie (too expensive)
Britt (out of contract)

Fletcher and Akpom are trickier - I think we'll sign a first choice CF in the window (Diédhiou?) but do we want two reasonable quality CFs who aren't playing? I'd keep Fletcher over Akpom but not sure he'd stay if not number one? There's also the "embarrassment factor" in getting rid of Akpom, a player we only signed 12 months ago and hasn't delivered - maybe a loan move if someone picks up a chunk of his wages?

Probably leaves us needing a winger on either side (Johnson/NML as backup?) and a CF.
 
I like the look of Dion Charles, he's 25 and has just been brought into the Northern Ireland squad, maybe does not fit the bill as a big centre forward though.
 
Why would we release Akpom? We’d have to pay up his contract anyway so makes more sense to keep him and hope he contributes. Now if someone wants to make us an offer for him...

That's been our problem for a long time, we never seem to have the ability to spot one or any younger talent from lower leagues etc .. hoping Warnock can help improve us in that department but time will tell .. it's what has been costing us to be honest, for too long now. Must improve.
 
Is Pukki out of contract? Surprised Norwich haven't nailed him down. He's good, but I don't think he'll get a move to a much better side, in England at least.
 
oh no I meant they got him on a free, not sure what his contract is now but that is the kind of find we need

Pukki is one of those once in a generation cheapo signings that are excellent, Last one we had was Slaven, so maybe we are due another one?

Edit or is he already here in Whatmore
 
Don't think Mendes has done enough to earn another contact yet. Few flashes but if it's just flashes you want get yourself to Albert Park at twighlight.
Hopefully more to come from him but not seen enough yet.

Would love it if Watmore is the one but wouldn't say no to another Pukki in the Summer, can't hurt! Watmore has been a cracking find to give a chance to mind, makes me wonder how no one had got in there before we did to be honest!
 
Wyke and Dion Charles are out of contract so free , and could make a decent pairing as a little and large duo .
Not proven in the championship , so a risk , which Neil won't take , unless our financial state makes him go there .
