UEFA Nations League this evening.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

I like the Nations League. I know it's not a major competition, but it's better than simple friendlies. Losing to Hungary with a very poor performance adds a bit of pressure for tonight.

I'm looking forward to it, it's always a big game.

After the shambles of Saturday, we'll need a big performance as whilst it's not the Germany of the past, they're still a strong side.

Might calm down some of the critics with a win.

Yeah, agree. Saturday/Hungary was cack.

As you say, Germany is different, and hopefully the team will be suitably up for it!

I'm looking forward to it purely as it gets that love island $hite the Mrs' watches off the box!

The competition for me is loads better than just nothing friendlies all over, however has to be said i think it does add a pressure to these games which i think stops Southgate from experimenting too much.

For some reason I had it in my head that Germany had really turned a corner since the Euros but I didn't notice how weak most of the teams they've played since then have been.

Obviously beat the likes of Liechtenstein and Armenia very comfortably, but drew with Italy and the Netherlands.

No way of properly judging how they are under Flick yet.

No It’s not the Germany of the past but I think they are starting to come back stronger with this new younger generation.

I love football, but this Nations League is just boring.

Most players and teams don't take it serious enough - Wales rested best players away to Poland last week...

Players are actually vocal about it being rubbish too....only last week KDB spoke about it.

I like it personally, league A means you've got at least "headline" fixture each night over the international break.

Understandably this season it seems odd given the placement of the world cup but in a "normal" season I think it's a useful competition for international squads and a good watch for spectators.

Providing England don't get to the finals I'd be tempted to go. Almost did Italy last year for the finals but it clashed with another trip unfortunately.

Looking at some of the young talent they've got now - Wirtz, Raum, Schlotterbeck, Musiala to name a few - I can't see them staying mediocre for long, if you'd even call them that now.

Wales rested their best players because they had a World Cup play-off final a few days later.

Looks like they made the correct decision to do so too.

I don't agree that it's boring. Each to their own I guess. One of the most exciting England games that I've been to in the last few years (and with decent atmosphere) was when we beat Croatia 2-1 at Wembley to qualify for the finals. Came back from 1-0 down, scoring in 78 & 85.

It was miles more exciting than most of the England World Cup qualifiers since. Admittedly we didn't have packed stadiums for the Euros, but some of those games weren't even as good.

As a player like KDB who plays countless games a season, and football for his job (which might sometimes take the edge off the fun(?)), I can see why he might not be a big fan of it.

Should be a great game. Had every intention of going out there but circumstances meant I couldn’t. 3-0 England.

No denying that.

But there is a problem there. Nations aren't taking it serious enough. Both players and teams aren't. And it's clearly showing.
