I think because it was his first offence it’s probably as good as it was going to get . The prosecution asked for 30 and the defence 12 so it’s near the middle of that I guess.Would have liked a bit more but it's At the top end of the scale I believe.
One of the jurors lied during voir dire and that will be the basis for the appeal. It wouldn't have made a difference to the verdict I don't believe but it puts a huge question mark over the whole deliberation.There will be an appeal, of course, but I can't see how it can get very far. There is no mitigation for what we all saw.

The jurors were asked about attending any George Floyd rallies or BLM rallies. One of the jurors answered no but had attended a BLM rally where one of George Floyd's family spoke. The juror claimed he was there to listen to a speaker talk about Luther King.what did they lie about? Like you say that won't impact the verdict, it's just a due process thing
