Saw this featured on the local news, im sure there would have been a bigger crowd had it got more publicity, but there again would the local police have wanted boro, sunderland and pools fans in the same stands

Legends turn out for the Gemma Lee charity game at the Suit Direct Stadium

Hartlepool United stars of the past put on their boots once more to join a host of legends taking part in the Gemma Lee charity game at the Suit Direct Stadium on Monday.

For Lee, his selection of legends included former Middlesbrough stars Jonathan Woodgate and Tony McMahon as well as ex-Sunderland captains Lee Cattermole and Grant Leadbitter.

Erm they are all boro players it seems the Mail didn’t realise Lee grant were ours as well.


That said I’m glad it went well.

It certainly wasn't well publicised but it sounds like the fans who attended helped raise money for a good cause.
