Gazette have had a nightmare here…

Sometimes you see thick people on social media mocking "cross-cum-shot" in match reports because they think they've spotted a rude typo, and refuse to believe it's a real phrase. And they get way more likes than anyone who tries to point out they're wrong.

But this appears to be the opposite. It's not like the Gazette to make mistakes - in fact it was only earlier today that they wrote about our player "Marcus Fry" in one of their other tweets.

Wouldn’t even bother acknowledging The Gazette these days. They’ve lost a few good Journo’s over the years and replaced them with people who seem to be lacking in knowledge, particularly about football.

They are completely culpable in the corruption around Teesport too. They’re a Houchen Newsletter.

They print the biggest load of copy and paste tripe you could ever read. For example, the Northern Echo and the Gazette run an article on Seny Dieng this morning. The Echo headline is balanced, whereas the Gazette’s headline is doom mongering, like most of the rubbish they print. Four days in a row this week their sports journalist has regurgitated a story which has highlighted the fact that Boro threw away a result after being 3-1 up at Norwich. If they’ve got nothing else to say then in my opinion they should just shut up, or go and find something original to print.

Their website is a joke too.

It's just advert ridden. To read one article that's about 10 lines deep involves scrolling through tons and tons of adverts.

If I ever see a decent headline from Gazette on social media, I usually try and find that same/similar article on another news site.

I’ve long given up trying to read anything on there - frustrated the life out of me 💩

I scrapped my online link

I had to laugh at this which was basically an article consisting entirely of comments on a previous article (who then commented on the article)

I mean, where would we be without the insights of colincrankbottom and sausageboy?
