From £5000 per month to let in Dundas Arcade and 50k rates on top

Real Estate and Energy have fast become investment sectors to stay entirely clear from 😷

It's amazing how things come full circle isn't it? When the Dundas was built, all the retailers avoided it because of the high rents. The only way to promote it was to offer reduced rent & rates to an anchor tenant - Hintons. Once they were in the others followed.
Don't think there's much hope for this place now.

Rental Costs (Usually a 10 or 15 year lease for retail units)
Service Charges
Business Rates
Insurance
Stock
Staff Wages
Electric
Heating
Transaction Processing Fees (Till)
Waste Removal

That's just off the top of my head

It's over - I sell all over the world and my website server costs £56 a month

Annual base costs
25k rates (51% of RV)
27k service charge
60k rent
so 112k annually.....scary

Going to be a weird few years.
See Middlesbrough Council bought the Binns building for £1 million as well as the Captain Cook Centre for £7m recently
