Frasier reboot

There is talk of them reviving Seinfeld after cryptic comments from the man himself. I really hope they don't.
Some things are better left alone. Curb came back after a hiatus and was as good as ever so maybe Seinfeld would too but why take the risk.

I love Frasier and actually still watch it fairly often, but agree with those who say the cast really made it what it was. Niles and Martin were brilliant characters, Roz and Daphne brought a lot to it. I don’t see how you could ever make that show without them.

And I’d be surprised if Nicholas Lyndhurst is any better in it than Eddie was.

These new episodes are so uninspired and often cringeworthy imo.
The forced, or is it canned laughter reeks of desperation.
An insult to the original series.

The first one died then his son took on the role. Nepo kids.
That's not true, both dogs played Eddie at various points, particularly towards the end when Moose was no longer acrobatic enough to do some of Eddie's tricks.

Moose didn't die until after the show finished but he did semi-retire in 2000.

Frasier is my favourite ever comedy...Cheers a close second.

Wasn't sure what to make of the news that a reboot was in the works.

Anyway, first two episodes are on Paramount Plus.

Mixed reviews, and I'm not impressed so far.

With the exception of Grammer and Nic Lyndhurst the characters are not good, and with no other returning characters it just doesn't feel the same.
Isn’t Roz in the new series? Also I think Lilith makes an appearance again.
That said am giving this a wide berth. I think it’s a massive mistake and will not work.

When Frazier started I thought it was a bit rubbish as it didn’t have the same characters that had been in Cheers. Frasier ended up being better imo than Cheers. it might be that it takes viewers time to make that adjustment. Will probably binge watc.

I think the writing was equally brilliant for both Cheers and Frasier, but Cheers had more brilliant characters. That’s why I think Cheers was the better of the two and the best sitcom or possibly tv program ever.
