Fox hunting

We have a fox who roams the wildlife reserve near our house, he once popped his head round the corner of the trees as I was walking home from Sainsburys. I love watching it run around if I'm ever awake in the middle of the night, probably comes in my garden and sends my dog crackers to!

Awesome animals foxes. Any person who finds it fun to do any kind of horrific act to them can burn

If, as a farmer, you have a "problem" fox you get someone to come round and shoot it. Relatively quick I guess and certainly more "humane" than it being torn to pieces while still alive by a pack of dogs. You do not ring for a mob of toffs in fancy dress.
100%

If the answer is anymore "involved" that this - essentially ensuring the quick and efficient death of the animal, there must be something else at play no?

Of course there is, blood lust plain and simple and the anxiety of one class of person to feel power over another. I'm almost certain they only do it to foxes as it's frowned upon to do so to poor people.

Very destructive, and they'll kill a full chicken coup despite not being able to carry away any where near them all.

But beautiful animals who do not deserve to be ripped to shreds.
They can be and are controlled by gamekeepers with shotguns.

I'm in the Zetland Hunt area. Like the rest of them their hunting habits havnt changed. Hunting does employ a lot of people, but again that's no excuse to savage the foxes. It's a pastime that belongs in the dark ages.

Those in that clip might get some time. Might make a few think twice but i doubt it.

It’s utter bollox anyway, rats are the biggest issue on farms these days, guess which creature used to keep the rural rat populations under control until they were forced out or executed.

I cannot and will never understand how people can ‘enjoy’ this barbaric practise. I once parked my car on a bridge to prevent a fox hunting group from proceeding. They were on a chase. My blood boiled. I opened the car window and the most snobbish woman looked at me as if I was dirt. I couldn’t contain myself and shouted ‘You are all sick b……s and twisted to do this’ I hope the fox escaped that day. I felt so angry but also so pleased with myself.
